The excitement of our daughter's special day sparked my love for everything that has to do with weddings. We were blessed to have an excellent wedding planner and realized what a gift it was to have someone handle the details both in leading up to and on the day of the event. I studied art and design at East Tennessee State University, and have always enjoyed planning and organizing details. As our friends' children were getting married, they began asking me for help. I loved being a part of these weddings, and this seemed like the perfect culmination from my past career as a graphic artist, my skills in decorating and organizing, and my love for people.
I live in Knoxville, TN, with my husband Mark and have two grown children, both happily married, and two grandchildren. When not working on a wedding or event, I enjoy finding creative outlets, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Heels and Veils has always valued genuinely connecting with each couple. We strive to see your dreams and desires for your wedding day become a reality. By the time your event arrives, we're sure you'll feel a part of the Heels and Veils' family. As the opportunities began to grow, I carefully selected my team of ladies—each has the same love for people and for serving others.
When I met Carolyn a few years ago, I could immediately sense her caring nature. As she was setting up a friend’s rehearsal dinner, I noticed her hard work ethic, care, and attention to details. Her background in fashion merchandising is from the University of Tennessee and she received a certification in redesign in New York City, which uniquely qualifies her for our team.
She is married to Jim and has two children. She is involved in her church and is a leader in Bible Study Fellowship. She loves creative projects, family time, and performing decorating miracles.
I met Susan many years ago when we both served as leaders in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF)—her sweet, giving spirit was a huge blessing to me. She is a creative genius and can make anything look beautiful. After helping me set up a friend’s reception, she told me she would love to help if I ever needed her. I knew she would be a huge asset and immediately asked her to join our team.
She is married to Mike and has two children. Susan studied education at the University of Tennessee and was an elementary school teacher. Susan is a cancer survivor, an active church member, a BSF leader, and loves to travel and shop.
I met Jamie at church and have always loved her bubbly, fun
personality. She was a buyer for a department store and has a great
sense of style. Like all of our team, Jamie works hard and wants
things to be perfect. Along with her past experience in wedding
planning, she is a great addition to our team.
Jamie is married to Neil and has two boys. She studied marketing at
Tennessee Tech, is involved in her church, enjoys running and loves
traveling the world.
